SquareWave Studio products (EP-PatchStudio, OP-PatchStudio) collect anonymous usage analytics to improve the software. This is enabled by default based on our legitimate interest.

  • Button clicks and tool interactions within the app
  • Basic device information (operating system, platform architecture)
  • App version and performance metrics (crash reports, error logs)

What We Never Collect:

  • File names, file contents, or audio data
  • Device serial numbers or unique hardware identifiers
  • Location data beyond regional aggregate statistics

We process this anonymous usage data based on our legitimate interest to improve our software products and fix bugs. Our assessment:

  • Purpose: Understand which features are used, identify bugs, and prioritise improvements
  • Necessity: Essential for maintaining software quality and user satisfaction
  • Balancing Test: Data is truly anonymous with no personal information, minimal privacy impact
  • User Rights: You can opt-out anytime in Settings → Privacy

Your Choice:

Anonymous analytics is enabled by default but you can disable it at any time:

  • During first launch: Uncheck "Disable anonymous usage analytics" option
  • Anytime later: Go to Settings → Privacy → Toggle "Send Anonymous App Usage" off

Disabling analytics does not affect your ability to use our software.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the squarewaveStudio software and services
  • Process transactions and send transactional emails
  • Send marketing communications (only with your consent)
  • Respond to support requests and provide customer service
