The Library

The Library is where your saved work lives. It holds four kinds of item:

  • a kit when you want a whole set of sounds,
  • a voice when you only want one sound,
  • a pattern when you only want the beat,
  • a backup when you want the whole PO-32 (every sound, pattern and the timing) in one item.

Everything is stored locally on your machine.

  • From the Studio: use Save to library on the transport to save the current voice, kit, pattern or backup.
  • From the Library: under Save current, give the item an optional name and choose Save kit, Save voice, Save pattern or Save backup.

Under Add from file, choose Add PO-32 WAV to library to decode a transfer or backup WAV straight into the library. This leaves the Studio untouched. To load a WAV into the Studio for editing instead, use Transfer & Import.

  • Search by name or tag.
  • Filter by type with the Kits / Voices / Patterns / Backups tabs.
  • Filter by tag, or show only your favourites.
  • Each row shows a type badge, its tags and when it was saved.

Every item has an audition control so you can hear it before you use it, and a Load in Studio action that opens it in the Studio ready to edit or transfer.

Save the entire PO-32 as a single backup item, and a complete instrument (all 16 sounds, the 16 patterns and the timing) saves and reloads in one go. That is the safest way to keep a finished setup, and it is the same item you restore from when you transfer a backup back to the hardware.
