Download and install
PO-PatchStudio is a free desktop app, with an Android build you can sideload. Pick your platform below, then follow the install steps.
Download

Each link points at the latest release. You can browse every published version and its checksums at downloads.squarewave.studio/po-patchstudio/versions.
Install
Section titled “Install”- Open the downloaded
.dmgfile. - Drag PO-PatchStudio to your Applications folder.
- Launch it from Applications or Launchpad.
Windows
Section titled “Windows”- Run the downloaded installer and follow the setup wizard.
- Launch PO-PatchStudio from the Start menu.

AppImage: make it executable and run it directly:

Debian / Ubuntu (.deb): install it, or double-click the file:

Android
Section titled “Android”The Android build is a sideloadable APK. Download it to your device, then open it and allow installation from your browser or file manager when prompted. This is a beta build; see the FAQ for what that means.
System requirements
Section titled “System requirements”- macOS: macOS 11 Big Sur or later (Intel or Apple Silicon).
- Windows: Windows 10 or later, 64-bit.
- Linux: a modern distribution with glibc 2.31 or newer (Ubuntu 20.04+, Fedora 33+, Debian 11+).
- RAM: 4 GB minimum, 8 GB recommended.
- Storage: around 500 MB free.
- Audio: a speaker or output to play transfers into the PO-32, and a microphone or audio interface to capture data dumps back from it. You only need audio input if you plan to record from the device.
First launch
Section titled “First launch”On macOS and Windows, grant microphone access if you plan to capture data dumps back from the PO-32. You do not need it just to design sounds or to send them to the device.
Updates
Section titled “Updates”PO-PatchStudio checks for new versions and points you at the latest build. You can always re-download the current release from the links above.
